BMT Fellows rotate at both Children's National and the NIH which is a unique educational opportunity for fellows in both clinical and research domains. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in research with world renowned experts in the field of pediatric BMT/Cellular Therapy. At CNH, we have a robust cellular therapy research platform that involves commercial and research CAR-T, gene therapies for hemoglobinopathies and metabolic diseases, donor derived or third party cytotoxic T cells against viruses, solid tumors, and leukemia/ myelodysplastic syndromes, among others. Fellows may rotate through the Cell Therapy Lab as part of their elective time. We offer robust number of patients and specialized teams in high risk leukemia, neuro oncology, sickle cell and primary immunodeficiencies, among other disorders. Multiple electives and rotations available in cellular therapy, apheresis, donor selection, transfusion medicine, blood bank and more.
